Meet the Crew of Carib Inn

How to get to the Inn from Flamingo Airport

Bruce has owned and managed the Carib Inn since its beginning in 1980. He was the first dive instructor working full time on Bonaire starting in 1973 at Captain Don's Aquaventure.

Rishi Anthony, born on Bonaire, has been with Bruce since 1987 and is in charge of tank fills and boat loading as well as keeping the Carib Inn grounds looking great. Bonaire is very proud of Rishi, one of the island's best musicians.

Kitty Handschuh started working at the Carib Inn in 1987 as an instructor. She is from the US, where she taught elementary school before teaching diving. Kitty has been managing the office, instruction, etc. since 1990. She is especially knowledgeable about the reef's little critters.

Karen Pearson has been diving on Bonaire since 1979 and became in instructor in 1987. She is an avid horse owner and loves showing people Bonaire's great reefs.

Linda Baker has been with the Carib Inn since 1990. She is from Canada, eh? She especially enjoys fish identification. She also has biked and hiked most of Bonaire.

Edward Thomas started in 1990 and is the Carib Inn's happiest face. Although deaf, Edward dives and pretty much knows more about what is going on than anyone else. He also fills tanks and makes sure the boats are ready to go.

Arturo Barrios is in charge of all maintenance. He also assists in tank fills and boats. Arturo is from Columbia and although he speaks only Spanish and Papiamento, he gets his points across and likes to play jokes.

Emmy Cicilia works in our housekeeping department. She keeps things in order and makes sure rooms are ready. We have not been able to talk her into diving yet.

Lynn Cicilia also works in housekeeping and does an excellent job keeping the rooms clean and tidy. She has a lovely young son and daughter.

Ralf Klug teaches in German and English and has many years diving and teaching on Bonaire. On top of his duties as instructor and divemaster he has been appointed Property Manager in charge of maintenance and upkeep of the Carib Inn.

Gary Schranz has joined the Carib Inn dive staff. He is an instructor and also runs our special east coast diving trips.

Francie is an instructor and divemaster and works part time at the Carib Inn. She is the "Friday" girl and has been on Bonaire many years.

Tica is the newest member of our housekeeping team. Born on Bonaire and married with one child, she really enjoys fishing as her hobby.
